The painful, dramatic years of changes. Uzupis, a small and pictorial nook of Vilnius favored by poets, artists and photographers is becoming the outpost of aggressive pragmatism. The object of the film is a fragile and retreating world.

This evening is part of 1989+20 festival organized by The European National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC Netherlands) and in cooperation with the Nutshuis, Filmhuis Den Haag, and the University of Amsterdam.
At 20:00 h will follow a debate on the consequences of 1989 for Europe; With Paul Scheffer, Frans Timmermans and Nausicaa Marbe
